I have an Endure. Threw it this morning. When I got it in a trade it was a pin up stack leverage drill, which for me was around a 3 3/4 pin to PAP 1" off the VAL. The ball flared alot early and refused to carry from anywhere inside of the oil line. Definitely needs dry to get the ball moving and to carry.
I had it redrilled with a 5" pin under layout and hit the ball with a worn out 2000 abralon which is probably more like a 4-5000 finish. It is much more lively on the back with exceptional carry. This ball wants to roll early, but the box finish(polish) wants to skid forever. With a pin under layout and surface modification the ball starts up in the mid and continues very strong.
I have alot slower speed since I've returned to bowling (around 15mph) but I have a lot of forward roll. The strong layout want to puke from inside for me. The weaker pin down gives me a much more lively move out of the end of the pattern. I would avoid strong layouts unless you plan on keeping it dull and using it for oil if you're a slower speed player.
This ball is very close in reaction to a Loaded Revolver, DV8 Marauder, and pin down strong layout Cyclone that I have (for comparison sake).
