Sorry everyone but it will be not. I cannot be baited or drawn into a conversation via a message board. I can foresee the circular logic that will be used and the spinning of the posts to suit the one answering. I can get that on TV will the upcoming elections.

I am sure if you were all better informed and we had a common frame of reference that we may be able to discuss this topic.

I wish everyone the best, I do not know about you but I have work to do. I visit various posting sites from time to time but I do not have the time to spend anymore time here. Have an outstanding day. Carpe Diem.

I would like to close with this. I have always identified myself on any forum. How about you? For all I know you are a pro shop that I compete against in my area or another website. I have yet to see an accurate post concerning how business is done on the Internet. Not even from someone that claimed to be a distributor, that one was way off. Come out from behind the curtain oh great OZ. Or if you prefer to stay hidden, expend your energies in a more positive manner, in a way that may help yourself or society as a whole. Life is short.

keith,

Are you saying that when happen to ship a ball out to a customer that has a long pin 5plus  low top around 1.25 or less and the cg  about three inches or more out of the pin and mb that the proshop your customer has brought the too shoudl swap it out?  If thats what you are saying, why should another shop swap out a ball that you sold them?

I am pragmatic about balls bought online, but even I have trouble with this one.  Why should anyone else be responsible for something YOU did to a customer?  If YOU (bowlingball.com) sent them a piece of garbage, then YOU sir(bowlingball.com) should be the one to happily replace it for them and you know it. Don't try to drown other people business with your questionable practices and merchandise. You screw it up, YOU fix it.

Pro shops cant survive on just drill charges and if youve been in the industry for such a long time you would know that!!!

This one really isn't his (bowlingball.com) problem.  If you can survive, then find a way.  If you can't, get out and go do something you can survive at. Maybe I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to a good shop and maybe I don't, but that will be MY problem. The market will find a stable point and hopefully you will be one of the survivors, but NOTHING in life is guaranteed.

As far as the drop shipping you do too!   I know you have becuase ive bought 1 ball from you because i could not find it anywhere else, it was discontinued and ill tell you it didnt come from your warehouse.

The only thing I wondered about here is how you know WHERE a ball comes from when it is shipped to you?  Maybe they have more than one warehouse or shipping location?

Hey, sdbowler, you got an extra lite over there?

keith,

First of all I dont run/own/work in a proshop.  I visit my local shop on a dailey basis and see how the business works.  You cant honestly sit on the other side of the computer and tell me that a proshop that is a free standing building can stay in business with drill charges.  Thats a fact.   Secondly in nowhere near your proshop.  In fact im about 1000-1400 miles away.  You remind me of someone who I had a discussion with before by the name of Gary Hulesnburg(sp?)  When he was with Bowlers Paradise/Elite I emailed him asking why he never posted cores of the bowling balls in the site.  My reasoning was that just like you order 500 balls from brunswick and call it your own, the difference is mostly that you sell viz a balls vs. performance ball.  Please remember i said msotly thats you still do some performance balls too!  With Bowlers Paradise/Elite  they never posted cores because they were almost all old brunswick balls that were severly overpriced.  All in all your only worried about you instead of the sport which is fine but please dont come on this site and act like your trying to help the sport, your only trying to help your pocketbook!

Time for me to pipe in. As a pro shop operator, I don't have a problem with anyone bringing in a ball bought from an outside source. I can and do make a living off of that kind of business. I can tell where people buy these balls at and I can honestly say that bowlingball.com has always been first quality equipment. Witch hunting reputable businesses will not solve problems. I have never dealt personally with bowlingball.com but they were kind enough to list all three of our shops on their website. I encourage my customers to find the best price they can and if that means buying from the web than that is fine, we will make our money from that sell as well. I think we need to remember that this is America and it is a capitalist system. If you don't like a business don't buy from them overwise don't knock them for trying to make a living for themselves and their famlies.

You are one of the few pro shops that will tell people that. I give you and your shop credit for doing that.

Amazing how some have missed the point. We guarantee and warranty all products sold, buy them from the same place as you guys. If there is a bad ball that slips through or a ball that an average pro shop cannot figure out how to lay out we will replace it, we honor all spec requests, I was simply suggesting that if it was a small issue like the mass bias and you don't know how to handle it, make it good. If you can and want to make a loyal customer, you're the one that can't figure the layout with the given specs.

As for drop ships, never said that we never drop shipped, we stock and ship 92% of our product.

Keith

Have a good evening.

When a person plants corn they should not be perplexed when wheat does not grow. But that is the way of life. Most men die at 27, they just wait until they are 65 to bury them.

funny you should mention this this keith. I bowl with a guy on thursdays who purchased a storm shift from you and the ball had cracked around the ball in less than 1 year he contacted you to return and have the ball replaced but instead of you replacing the storm shift you offered to replace with ball with a dynothane zr40 NOT a storm shift i will ask him this week if he has the emails.  What quality service there and a good warranty.  If he would have purchased the ball from our proshop he could have brought it in and we would have given him credit to get another shift.
