Hi there,
I think you'll see what I'm talking about in the Angular One videos.
First, look at the balls showing the Angular One going through the pins. These shots were all thrown very well, and you'll see that there is 5-6 boards between the ball and the gutter at the breakpoint.
Also, in the overhead shots of ball #2 (near the end of the video), two of the four clips have the ball "nudging" out to the 4th-5th board breakpoint, and you can tell that the balls are quite a bit weaker and come in very light (although they do strike). At our center, your breakpoint needs to be around the 5th-7th board downlane because we have so much friction in the lane surface and the pattern. But I think you'll see how the ball really lays off in the shots missed just a pinch to the right.
With the RXS300, I was using a slightly softer speed with my highest axis rotation release. The ball really skids a little too much for our "fresh" lane condition. This may have caused you to see slightly more movement than you expected with my comments.
I think my boys from "inthezoneproshop" will back me up. When we hit the fourth board at Royal Crest Lanes, it's usually 3 off the right. I did it several times yesterday in practice.
Your point is noted though. Next time in the SmashTime Pearl video, I'll be sure to get a few into the out of bounds to not only show it, but to show how the ball handles that spot.
Thanks for your input!
