Next Mission?

Any idea when there will be another mission.  I need something above my mission in my arsenal, drilled up a c-system 3.5 & i HATE it, just cant seem to get the look i want with it.

dont expect another mission for a long while. I was told by my pro shop owner that they plan to keep the mission by itself until sales decline THEN release the next mission.

they don't want to shadow their current best seller, which makes a lot of sense.

I would expect to see maybe two or three balls. def. some low end balls, and maybe a midrange ball or two to fill out their lineup seeing as all they currently are producing is the magic action and mission.

You should have drilled the 3.5 pin under.  That's how mine is with the MB in the strong position.  Everybody I know who drilled theirs pin up hates it says it goes too long.  With the pin under it seems like it gets into a roll earlier and is more controllable

My pin up is hit or miss. Condition specific, when the lanes are broken down but still head oil, it carries everything and gives plenty of room.

If they are broken down and little head oil, forget it. Over under on fresh shot with clean backends. Should have drilled it pin under.

Moved weight hole from 45* thumb quadrant to 1 inch past PAP, took surface down and stepped it back up from 500, 1000, 2000. Better reaction and ball is much more controllable. Still may plug and redrill pin under before all is said and done.

 Why not just drill out another mission with a surface finish lower than OOB and a more agressive layout?

That's what I was thinking. It kinda makes sense, you already like the ball. Try a more aggresive layout, or more surface like stated above.

I just drilled a 2nd one.  I drilled the MB out for the thumb.  It knocks the nub on the core off and turns it into a symmetrical core.  Very angular.  Great layout.

Yeah, for me the Mission was basically a Bedlam in terms of reaction with similiar surface. The Total Bedlam is a far better ball than the Mission if you are looking for a stronger piece than the Mission and wish to stay in the Hopkinsville family.

from what i have heard they are working on another Mission now. It IS going have a higher hook potential than the current Mission, but it still going to be a pearl as of now...i know that there is a upper mid coming out in june and 3 others with 2 of them below the smash/boom...hopefully something similar to the Freeze (ball is amazing)

You can not drill a ball and turn it into a symetrical, impossible.

As soon as put holes in any ball it becomes asymetrical. You can change the asymetrical properties of the ball by where you put the holes.

If you drill a symetrical ball it becomes asymetrical. It's a mild asymetrical but it is asymetrical.

unless you do not hit the core...that was a big thing with the mission is that they designed the core so that we it is drilled you hit the least amount possible...but yes 99% of the time symmetrical will be assymetrical
