Power Wash Ball Cleaner
« on: July 25, 2007, 02:05:28 AM »
I was looking at buddies website to find some cleaner when I came across this stuff.  I have powerhouse energizer cleaner but am running out of it. What i was wondering is this a polisher/cleaner or just cleaner being its description is this
Removes oil, dirt, and belt marks from the ball's surface

Performance enhancing formula that increases backend motion during competition

Emulsifiers accelerate oil removal

Bio-degradable apple scented formula

For use on all high-performance bowling equipment

Approved for use during USBC competition

Length - no change
Backend - increasing
Overall Hook - increasing

the reason I ask is because of the last two lines. Thanks in advanced

Not entirely true.  Whatever the chemical makeup of C&T is, whether it's the same as C&D or not, C&T is on the "Approved before and after competition" list while C&D is on the "Approved at any time" list.

If you don't want to be a cheater, stick with C&D.

Clean n Tacky is "NO MORE". Power House Clean n Dull is the stuff to deep clean a bowling ball with. Everything else is just second best.

i was wondering since i'm getting a new ball i want to maintain it better than my last ball. i was thinking of just getting the track clean and dull and use it after every game is that too much? or get something like the Track Power Wash Cleaner and only use clean and dull once a while? which one is better track power wash cleaner or Power House Bowling Ball Cleaner?

The usual way is to clean it every set with some milder, cheap cleaner, then every now and then, using some deep cleaner.  Some like a Simple Green mixture for the regular cleaning, then use something like C&D for the deep, once-a-month cleaning.

A combo of Power Wash and C&D is a good routine.  PW after each set, then C&D once a month or so, depending on how much bowling you do.  If you're a 20+ games a week guy, every other week might be worthwhile.

This is exactly what I have recommended to my customers over the last few years.  The Power Wash will remove a large majority of dirt and oil from the surface which then you can apply the C&D (periodically) to get a good deep cleaning.  These two were Track products....hope this helps some.

I use only the Track clean and tacky to clean my balls after every league or practice, is that ok ? I noticed that every time after cleaning my Fury with C&T, a layer of oil ring will appear on the track area of the ball. This is the only product that I used that really draws out the oil.

having used both products,   see no difference in them.
however,  shelley is right,  for some reason, one is approved before and after only,  and one is approved all the time.

shelley,  hows your diet?

It's not that I don't believe you, but how exactly does that work?  I got some very strange looks from my wife last night because I was watching golf.  Not "sexy" strange or even "curious" strange but more "just turned purple and grew a third ear" strange.

Power Wash is a good spray cleaner to use after bowling, assuming Ebonite is still putting them in the spray bottles.  It used to be Track Power Wash.

i am kinda guessing that your wife does not play golf.

it helps if them play golf.

this way they think you { we } are actually interested in watching women play golf.

and he helps to say things like  "anniki is playing well today."  even tho she buys her clothes in a mens store.

and try not to bite your fingers while watching natalie, paula, morgan, michelle, christie, putting.  that is a dead give a way.

enjoy tonites show.

That's probably it.  She sort of tolerates bowling on TV because I actually bowl.  She even bowls sometimes.  I don't play golf, though; I'm sure that only compounds her confusion over why I've been watching it on TV.
