I have 2 Total NV's, the first was drilled with the pin about 2 inches over the ring finger. Nice length and snap while still getting into a nice roll. Excellent ball once there is any type of track area on the lane.
The 2nd was drilled mainly for the USBC's in Reno and was laid out with input from folks in the Ebonite/Hammer boooths. This Total NV had the pin directly beneath the bridge with the CG and bomb kicked out slightly to the right. A very heavy rolling ball with an even roll and some nice pop on the back end.
We're bowling in Reno next weekend so I had to ship all my equipment except the 2nd NV which along with my spare ball I kept for league. I had not thrown this 2nd NV yet and wanted to get a feel for what it would do. We bowl on a heavy oil house shot, about 45 feet oil, outside of 10 is O.B., the track area 10-15 generally has some hook with everything left of 15 being like ice. On this night the lanes were extra tight. I used my Total NV for the first time and was forced to play over 16 out to 11 while staying behind the ball for more end over end roll. The NV worked great. I used it with the out of box polished finish and threw 25 out of the first 26 strikes, the only non-strike was on a shot where I got a little fast and blew out the rack with a light hit leaving the 7. The ball hit extremely hard, had a very predictable roll, and carried well. None of the other 9 people on my pair that night broke 200 even once.
Highly recommend this ball, I expect to see a ton of 'em in my Friday league after the damage my NV did last week.
