The only people I know who like theirs are lefties. All the righties say it is too picky can't hit the slightest amount of oil or you can forget it coming back.

Actually I'm a lefty, and after the first month of "trying"  to throw this ball, I was having problems that I never had with any ball. The only word to describe this ball is "SENSITIVE". One week this ball shines, the next week, I'm having major problems throwing this ball. I would have to say buyer beware on NVS!!!

Real squirty, sometime it likes to roll, others it doesn't.. Condition specific if anything.. Medium oiled.. Only place I can have it at is straight up 1 to 5 board, and have it hooking off the gutter cap.

My not to bad i have played with the cover though. Sanded down to 1000 and added beans secret sause and i Love the reaction now, didnt like the OOB.

Shot 783 with the ball in the new cover grit

My NVS is drilled with pin 5 1/4" from PAP, with the MB @ 60 degrees, with a weight hole to remove the positive side weight to make it legal. It is quite possibly the strongest ball in my bag right now. I have used it with success on the Shark and Scorpion patterns, which on 2 year old Brunswick Pro-Anvilane surfaces.

Mine starts to get its look a little earlier and stronger than the Total NV (that one is drilled 4 3/4" from pap @ 45 degrees). The coverstock is @ 4000 abralon for both balls when i compared them side by side.

I have this ball and am starting to figure out how to use it correctly.  It is a great compliment to my TNV.  I have found when one is not working the other will.  It only takes about 2 shots with the NVS to decide wether to use it or not.  I have found it likes a heavier oil than the TNV.  Once the shot starts drying out I switch to the TNV and go to town with that.  Last week 2 nights i shot 728 and 717 using this method.

i just threw my nvs for the first time today on a shot with major oob past 10 and it wouldnt wrinkle. I have it dsrilled just like my odyssey with the pin under bridge and cg kicked right also same as on passion except passion is pin over bridge. All balls are at oob condition but the odyssey is honeslty more used and probably dirty.
     Having said that let me say this, the nvs is as strong as my turbo -x when compared to my odyssey. The nvs is a hockey puck compared to the odyssey. Not even close in finish,recovery,and definitely not close in hook. The oob on the nvs is 2000 polished and the odyssey is 2000 dull with the same drill i never would have thought they would be so far apart. My league shots have been pretty dry so i am just hoping the ball will perform better with less oil so as to fill the slot under my epic. Although i really think its going to fall right in line with my solution for a light to med short oil ball.
    I am realizing that the med to heavy oil rating is usually missing the fine print; sand at your discretion. It might be a good oil ball at 400 grit dull ,but at 2000 dont hold your breath waiting for it to turn in oil. No it wasnt burning up it wasnt even trying to grab the lane.This is the first ball i have ever thrown that at least the first time out looked promising. I wanted a kinetic and the pro shop where i got it didnt have any. I have seen the tnv and heard good things from the few who have the nvs so i thought what the heck. I should have waited.

I thought the same thing about mine when I first got it.  I threw it on a few shots, heavy oil pba pattern, ths, 2nd shift, etc.  The 2000 grit polish finish on heavy oil was splashy, didn't turn when I needed it, wouldn't finish it etc.  More hook than the TNV my butt.

Then something amazing happened, I don't know if I wore a track into this ball or what, but all of a sudden it was like WHAM, this ball did what it is listed to do.  Drive hard in the back end on heavy oil and crush the pocket.  I actually sanded it down to 2000 grit dull, then polished it lightly.  This ball is a monster in that condition.  I've never seen a ball with this much hook or angular action before.  

My recommendation, take it down to 2000 grit NO polish.  This ball will rock your socks off.

i thru mine for the first time today after taking it to 2000 dull. Its a much better ball. Mine is drilled with the pin under bridge and cg and mb stacked right at 45 degrees. this puts the cg in my grip and the mb right of thumb about an inch.When u hit your mark it strikes convincingly. Much better in the nidlane and the backend then it is oob. This was the best piece of advice i have gotten about a ball in along time. Cant wait till league friday. I dont know why the even sell it polished and say its med to heavy ball.
