Which would you say is Ebonite's best oil ball the xcel, xxcel, big time, or maybe this new apex that is coming out. Because my friend and people I have talked to says that ebonite makes the best rolling balls out there and that is what you want for heavy oil and are any of these or that better then the Track GP2 or is that the best heavy oil ball out there?

what new apex are you talking about? Anyway, it depends on reaction you are looking for in your ball. If you want a flip in heavy oil then you get the XXcel, if you want more arcy, then get the Big Time (even though it has a flip block, drill it to arc). The Xcel was ok of a ball, but the XXcel made it look like shi+

Personally like the Xcel for heavier patterns where you need roll throughout the lane or slightly earlier read. Xxcel is very good for some carrydown as it does come around the corner harder than the Xcel. I think set-up to compliment each other are great for oil. The big time i would put just slightly under the Xxcel for handling oil but very close and has a real nice backend move. To me probably one of the best deals for a med/heavy oil ball available. Most of the public loves it because it covers quite a bit of boards without breaking their wallet. I would assume because of the recent statements from Ron Hickland that the new balls will be Reactive in nature, and for me and my game particles still handle larger volumes of oil better than reactives.

I love my XXcel...I think that would be a great ball for anyone on a heavy oil shot. Mine gets real long and it turns beautifully on the backend...this would be the ball for a sport shot or a heavy oil house pattern.

The GP2 is very good in oil, but I still think Lane 1's Super Carbide Bomb is a little better on the soupy stuff.
Of course, that new particle ball(can't remember what it's called) coming out from Visionary is supposed to out-hook the SCB, supposedly.
