Angular One, Total NV, or No Mercy question?
« on: January 23, 2007, 10:56:00 AM »
I am looking to pick up a new ball within the next month, & the Angular One, Total NV, & the No Mercy were recommended to me by my pro shop guy. I was curious if anyone has thrown any or all of these three balls, & wanted to find out the characteristics of them, & what your opinions are of each & possible comparisons to each?  I have been using Brunswick equipment for the last couple of years, but it has been recommended to go with one of these balls for my next piece of equipment.  I'm not 100% sure of what I'm looking for in my next ball yet, but want to know all of your opinions about these 3 balls.  Thanks in advance for your replies.

this is just me ,but if you are looking for something that is drill friendly and will give you the expected reaction on the designated lane condition dont buy the no mercy. Like i said i am sire i am one in a million. I just polished mine its more a dry lane ball than a heavy oiler even in oob its no oiler.

Get the one thats most driller friendly. There might be some trial and error with the No Mercy before you get it right. I don't know about the other bowling balls. I haven't heard about the Angular having any drilling issues.

I have the No Mercy and Angular One both at 2000 and find the
AO to be 2-3 boards stronger.  I had some issues w/ the No
Mercy at first, but it's turned out to be the first out of the
bag week in week out.  I got one of the balls where the hart/cg/pin
were slightly out of alignment, but it really hasn't been that big of
a deal.  I've realized that when I leave a 10 pin or 7 pin that it is
often times my fault and not the balls.

Both balls IMO are very smooth, but continuous thru the breakpoint and aren't
as violent as advertised.  You really can't go wrong w/ either of them or the
NV, but I think they'll line up in this order stronger to weaker: 1 NV 2 AO
and an ever so close 3rd No Mercy.  Just depends on how much oil you really see
as to which you should buy.

Well, for what its worth, I have the AO and also the No Mercy but I don't have the
NV (not yet )

anyway, so between the AO and the No Mercy I like the No Mercy as my "first-out-of-my-bag-ball" no quetsion about it.

The AO is a great ball but where I bowl the No Mercy is a freaking monster. Just tonight I threw the No Mercy for all 3 games in league and the only time it didn't perform well was due to operator error

Of course everyones TOTALLY different in their own way and also the house where they shoot so whatever ball you choose should be a just fine as they are ALL top of the line high performance balls. Good luck on your decision.
