it was not meant to have so many replies knocking me and praising the ball ok its a great ball just maybe not in my hands. i give i am gonna send it back to ebonite with a note that says i am unworthy to throw this ball sorry i knocked it i know i am not that good ,but i do know when something works and when it doesnt and i am sick of you guys knocking me i know what the ball did and does ,but forget i mentioned it ,truth betold most of you arent even reading my post ,just forget the whole thing please!!!

When complaining about a ball, wheather it be the drilling, your style, the combination of both. You just need to over clearify what you exactly mean. This is the internet, things are hard to understand without seeing the expression of the person typing. All you have to go with is the response and your own opinion of the topic. The only thing I can really suggest is try having the ball layed out with the pin over bridge, cg 45* from center of grip and if the MB is in line with the cg and in, well, it would be another additional 45* from cg. This is how both of my balls are drilled (the one and the big one). Then again im a 17-18 mph ball speed with a high track and high revs. Check your PM.

tenpin,
that's much better. Not all balls are fit for everyone's syle of bowling.  Before bad mouthing a product, first think what you did wrong?  Maybe the layout and finish wasn't just for you.
Reason many was on your case was because you blamed the ball and not yourself first. Live and Learn, all part of being a good bowler.

it's not you,  and it's not the ball,  it's probably a case of a week late,
more than likely the cover and the lane condition's your bowling on just don't match up.

we have heard this many times. in some cases by taking the cover down to 1000
and than using the ball on a more med. oil shot, might help.

this ball has a love hate relationship with many bowlers.  it's not just you!!!

Well I was talking to another bowler last night about the BIG One and its drilling. Hes got 2. 1 with pin under ring, cg kicked right with MB 3" right of thumb with a x-hole just under his pap, that ball does not do anything for him and hes a 400+ revs cranker. Drilled the 2nd one wit pin over bridge, cg, MB in line 45*, x-hole on his PAP. (Mine is drilled identical to his, only difference, my pin to cg is about 1" shorter then his) So maybe its just the drilling on your ball? Cause I also threw the ball that does nothing for this guy last night, I got 4 boards of total hook at best. Its a very drill specific ball for each person. Id say Ebonites the one, big one and soon the infinate one are more pickier on drillings then the supposed Morich balls.

i am thinking of having mine redrilled with the pin above ring and mb cg stacked. That will give it later roll and more backend ,is that right

Are the Pin, CG, and MB close to a line from each other? If so, put the pin over bridge and the CG/MB at 45* in line. That will give you what your looking for.

my cg and mb are at 45degrees now with the pin just below the ring finger. Moving the pin up 2 inches is all i would be doing . Would that make enough difference to even warrant the redrill

Chances are that most bowling centers DO NOT lay down the same condition as they do during the fall simply because they do not have the league bowlers to warrant laying the same shot.  It is not cost effective for a center to do that.  90% of bowling centers put out lighter volumes and/or shorter patterns on the lanes during the summer months.  What might be happening is that the ball is burning up in the first 35 feet of lane and simply does not have enough energy stored for a backend.  So, it makes the ball appear very flat on the backend of the lane causing weak hits at best.  I would not give up on the ball yet.  Try using something a little weaker, say maybe a mid performance ball instead of high end and wait until the fall leagues start.  Be patient.  You may make a change now and regret it in the long run.

An extremely great point that I overlooked. I see freshly oiled lanes all year round because of summer leauges.

ok i am not a low track player i was ,but now i track about an inch from fingers and thumb. I bowl between 15 and 16.5 mph. When i am seeing the problem mostly is in tourneys where there is considerably more oil than a ths.I dont even try to use the ball on anything less than ths, I have equipment for that. This isnt my first ball . I do know the difference between oil lanes and dry lanes. I have been bowling for 8 years and have had one or two good games .Give me some credit. I conceeded the ball is a good ball used on the right condition. Just like any other ball . You guys can stop the patronizing anytime.Read the posts before you reply its a big one not a big time.
