pin slasher/playmaker
« on: February 15, 2009, 12:39:15 PM »
I'm loving the playmaker,I about to pull the trigger on another either the PM or the PS.I plan on drilling up either one with the same exact layout as the one in my profile for heavier oil.the question is should I go for the PS or the PM with a cover change?are the cores exactly the same?I've tried my PM with different cover preps and it has been a wonderful ball at any surface.opinions?

first night with my pinslasher and I'm happy to report that this ball hooks way, way, way to much for me.shot 587,lowest set in months and I knew better to put it away but what the hell it's a new ball and I have to figure it out anyway.also helps that my team was on fire so maybe next time.thinking I should have just picked up another playmaker now.if you have NO HAND what so ever this ball is for you!

Mine is polished with reacta shine on 1k try that method out, not touching it since it rolls so sweet.

a little update on my pinslasher:I hit it with a little compound to give it some shine and as expected I got more length and backend, the reaction reminded me of my pin up black widow.since I never cared for my BW reaction, cover 25 boards in the last ten feet I decided to hit the PS with some A-10 trizact that I still have and found the reaction I was looking for or can live with.the ball is still very clean in the heads and has all the mid lane and backend I was looking for.I shot a nice little 278 game playing a deep inside line, seems to be where the ball always wants to be played for me.when the PS became too strong I made a seamless switch to my playmaker with a ten board move to the right.

In both the pinslasher and playmaker I was surprised at how much backend these two produce for a low rg core and I had to make some cover changes to calm down the backend.with the PM it was a finer grit followed by more polish and with the PS it was more surface.makes sense considering I wanted the PS for more oil and the PM for less.
