I tried asking for info on this before, and didn't do a very good job of asking the question.
I have not thrown much in the way of particle balls, so the main points I would like covered are these: 1) What does the ball look like on the lane? Is it an arcing action, skid-flip, or will it hook at my toes and keep going left?
2) How sensitive is it to oil? Will it get through broken down heads and still be able to work through oil that has carried downlane? I ask this because my current dry lane ball is a pearlized urethane that demands a lot of dry as it gets kinda squirty and unpredictable if there's much oil downlane.
3) The total hook rating kinda concerns me. I bought a Stinger Pearl Low Flare looking for something with more length and a weaker reaction than my Savage Pearl. I got length, but this ball still covers almost as many boards as the Savage - basically only giving me a different breakpoint and entry angle. Don't get me wrong, they're both great balls and I've had much success with both, but when my pro shop guy and I looked over the Stinger, everything Ebonite posted on it suggested it would be much tamer than it is. Basically I don't want to buy a "dry" ball and find it is actually more of a "med. oil" ball. I throw above avg. revs and avg. speed - if that info helps any. Sorry, I have never used the CATS system, so I can't really be any more specific.
Thanks for any info anyone can give me on this ball. Hopefully a few reviews will start poping up on it!
