How does the Overtime compare to the V2 Power?

In BTM they are listed at similar hook ratings, yet on the perfect scale on Bowlingball.com, the overtime is listed quite a bit lower.  Has anyone thrown both that can compare the read, strength, and reaction?  I'd like a ball that leads the mids a little less and gets further down the lane than the V2 Power.

after throwing both the v2 power and the overtime  i will say this.....  the over time reads the mids a lot later  than the v2 power  probably a good 3-4 feet later  and covers more boards in the backend  where the v2 power has a more pronounced midlane  and less of a backend.........


the overtime is definately my go to ball and i base my decisions  on what that ball does.........

I agree with brian green, the overtime for me is a great ball. I hated the v2 power, it rolled way to early for me..

As far as hook, the overtime covers at least 5 more boards for me..

That sounds almost exactly like what I'm looking for.  The problems I've had with the V2 Power is it rolling too early, especially once the head oil starts to go.  It just isn't conserving enough for a strong backend, even polished as I have mine.  Thanks guys!

Main difference between the two is the coverstocks and the cores. O wait...thats everything...lol.

Overtime is dull pearl resin, while the V2 Power is solid resin. Secondly, the Over time is a long and snap ball, where teh V2 is supposed to roll early, hence the very low RG rating.

I think Overtime is just what you are looking for..

Good length and very sweet backend.  Seen it and been very impressed ...later than the heavy rolling V2 power which I've seen tear up some wet stuff!

I actually had asked my coach about a ball and he mentioned the Overtime specifically.  I think I'm leaning that way.    So many options though!!!

I have both but probably tomorrow my V2 Power will be saying goodbye to me and hello to the garbage can. I hate it. It rolls way to early and hits like a marshmellow. It's been polished up and down, plugged and redrilled and it still doesn't work for me. My Overtime however is great. It's predictable and hits great. Mine is polished to conserve even more energy and it hits so hard it's ridiculous. I won't be getting rid of that ball until it dies out.
