Game Plan Review
« on: July 07, 2010, 02:11:02 AM »
I have drilled two Game Plans, and have been able to throw it now for some time and feel I have a good hold on it's uses.  I first took the shell down to a 1000 abralon to knock the factory shine off and then polished over that.  Out of the box the ball does not like oil and I recommend taking the factory shine off, either like I did or atleast with 4000 abralon.  After throwing this ball on a variety of patterns, I feel the Game Plan will become a Bench Mark ball for a lot of bowlers.  For a pearl this ball picks up a roll very quickly, giving you a lot of control of the midlane, but still clean through the fronts saving a lot of energy for the pins.  The continuation of this ball is almost like the Mission in the back part of the lane.  I would say the Game Plan reads the back part of lane with a very hard but controllable arch. When the Mission, Vital Sign, or Magic Action has too much cover for what you are bowling on, the Game Plan fits the bill. The hit of the Game Plan was also more like a High Performance look through the pins, rather than your typical symmetrical in this price range.  I was really surprised at how strong this ball really is, and that's why I say it will be a bench mark ball for a lot of bowlers.  The Game Plan can be used on a Variety of Patterns, but will excel on short to medium length sport patterns and PBA Patterns. The Game Plan is really good on your Typical house pattern, as it doesn't over react on the friction and has enough cover for the oil hence you take the factory shine off.  The Game Plan shines on Medium to Light volume oil patterns.
