Re-finishing an Ice and Whirlwind

I got a few games on my Ice and my Whirlwind and couldn't find anywhere what grit to put under the balls b4 i throw on ebo's shine to make the balls oob.  Anybody know? Thanks..

The WhirlWind was 1000, and if I remember right the Ice was 2000 both with polish. Hope that helped, sorry about the Ice, I'm old and forgetful.

Whirlwind was 2000 abralon with factory finish on it. But to get the best shine, put a coat of factory finish and then a coat of extender polish.
