i have been bowling with a messenger Ti pearl. the ball is made to go long and skid thru the heads, with a sharp break for the pocket. the ball is great on medium oil, but as soon as it gets greasy, it will continue skidding and never let the weight block take over.
to make matters worse, i have mild RPMs and the guy who drilled this ball put the pin out further... so it goes even longer. i am now talking with another local pro shop *who i have recieved many recommendations to* and they discovered this about the Ti... as well as the fact that the pitch on my thumb was drilled over a quarter inch too shallow, which was more than likely the reason i squeeze.
so, they watched me roll the ball and found my ball speed and marked the oil track on my ball. i described what form i want the ball to take, and they have assured me i can get it.
i want a more elliptical arc, and not such a loooooooooooooong roll before a quick break @ 40-44 feet. can this be achieved with a V2 strong? i do not have the hard early revs some people have, so i believe that this may help me to keep the ball from reacting so fast. i know the strong likes to hook early... any ideas, thoughts, suggestions?
