« on: October 21, 2004, 04:09:37 PM »
I just bought some new Ebonite equipment and man is it aggressive, the coverstocks them selfs aren't that aggressive neither are the drillings, are all Ebonite balls hugly aggressive when new? I find my self praying they die...

I read this post and I thought it was about something very serious.

Maybe hostage taking!
Instead it is about... this!

Where was it I read this????

I can almost see it in my minds eye....???

Something like.

Remember, if you have an old ball and you like the reaction and oil extract it you will end up with a ball that will not react like the old one and may LOWER your scores, because of the dramatic change.

I immediatel thought of my home house where so many bowlers are using old stuff and scoring and new stuff and the same guy struggles.

An example comes to mind of a guy with an old Tour Boss PEarl with about 2000 games on it.  Someone says to me ... "Watch this guy he had an 837 in the summer leagues, he's trying a new triple X".

I watch and say to myself, "that guy can't average 165".

I stop by his league the next week and he finishes with 255 and 245 all over the lanes.  I say, "where is your new triple X".  He says, "thatis ashcan". "I can't break 170 with it"  "But now my old Tour Boss pearl....

Interesting thought!

Wonder where I saw that ditty above?

Yeah I agree, you have to get use to your new equipment, I can't bowl well with these balls at the mo, but in the end when I get use to them and I can see myself killing with them, its just a fantastic reaction...
