Champion Balls

A friend of mine has a ball (for sale) and it's a Champion Dragon Blue, does anyone have any info on this? Also I found where Champion is no longer in business, were they sold to Ebonite? Are champions good balls? Thanks

If memory serves correctly, Champions was the line started by Del Ballard and Norm Duke circa the early 1990's.  They lasted a few years, but I don't believe they sold out to anyone...think they just went the unfortunate way of other small companies that had small devoted followings but lacked the mass appeal necessary to sustain the effort.

I hear that Champion was founded by Pete Weber,Del Ballard jr.and Norm Duke.But it's not sure.

About 10 years ago,they used Champion balls.

At TV final of PBA IOF Foresters Open '93 or '94, Pete Weber has won using Ultimate Weapon Wine.

In the old days people used to cut wood with axes.....................now and days...............they just have Executioners do it for them!

Pin_Krusher IS a serious threat to modern day bowling wood as we know it today.

I don't know who was involved with Norm Duke, but Norm was one of the owners. His home base at that time was here in Edmond OK. where I bowl. Another former PBA Tour bowler by the name of Bryan Berg ran the Pro Shop here.
