Prime Time (sanded) vs Prime Time

Friends, can anyone tell me what are the differences between these two balls ?
Is it one is sanded and the other is the original version that all ? Thanks in advance..

I have the Prime Time Sanded and it's a very good ball. I can't speak for the other one but you really can't go wrong with the Prime Time Sanded. It's not expensive either.

Tony, I agreed with you that the sanded one is a good ball as I have one myself but now I am playing in a bowling alley that has lightly oiled lane so was wondering whether to polished the sanded one or to get the Prime time original.

Can only speak for myself.

My Prime Time has been a disappointment.  Hits are flat, leaves so many 8-10, 5-7 etc, just doesn't seem to 'drive' into the pins.

Drill with pin under ring with CG kicked out.

Don't own Prime Time Sand though.

I have the prime time sanded and it is very nice on medium on up. Very consistent and hits just as hard as my UI. Drives very hard, cost me 8 in a row a couple weeks back with a solid 9 pin. For the price, you cant beat it. Plus, unless you have a lot of hand, dont be afraid to drill this ball pretty strong. I drilled mine to get through the heads and be strong in the midlane and backend and I kinda wish I drilled it a little stronger.

Bowler 38,
           If the lanes you are bowling on are only slightly oiled the Prime Time Sanded in box condition should be fine for it. I guess you could hit it with some Polish but I'm not sure how much difference that will make. If you are looking for a true oil ball then the XCEL Particle should be your ball. Hope this helps.

IMO, Zone Classic is soooooo much better than Prime Time (I own both).

ZC is prefect for medium oil, but it can be too strong for light oil for some people.

Don't know how hard you throw, and your revs etc, but I've no problem using ZC, playing down and in, and keep moving in and chase the oil as the pattern breaks down.

ZC is not so good with heavy carry down, but then it's not designed for that anyway.

I can using my ZC on fresh, medium and light oil pattern, and it's probably the best ball I own right now (see profile).

I've almost completely given up on my Prime Time.
