Same core, same numbers, Cross fire has a weaker longer coverstock.  Start with the Puma if its hooking a little too early pull the cross fire out it will push down the lane further.  A great one two punch if you love pearl balls gotta love the light bulb core.  I say the Puma is 5to6 boards more and a little earlier than the cross fire.

my crossfire hooks a little earlier than the puma, but they are not layed out the same.

i always go to the crossfire first. i feel that i can do anything i want with that ball. (similar to the v2 sanded) play up the lane, or send it out.

my puma is great when i need more length than the crossfire. the crossfire seems to have more pop off the dry where the puma is a little smoother and tame, if i get too deep with the puma (5th arrow) i have trouble carrying the corners.

if u have more specific questions ill be happy to answer.

Wrong same core and both pearls while the Puma is a stronger earlier pearl and the cross fire is longer weaker pearl better for lighter stuff,  Puma is at home on medium.

Wow I am surprised to hear this the cross fire by nature is the longer and milder of the two covers.  How much different are they drilled Paul?  I could understand maybe more backend burt definitely not starting up earlier.

The crossfire has a 2 inch pin. The pin is under the ring and the cg is stacked under it, no weight hole. The cg is quite low so the ball pops off the dry. The ball rolls very tight. What I mean by that is the top of the core and the center of gravity are spinning close together, less flare. I would say it rolls similar to a Beast if anyone remembers. A lot of stored energy.

The puma is drilled with the pin above and to the right of the ring finger, the cg is above the midline and right of the pin. After measuring its about a 4.5x3.5 drilling w/ a weight hole, this ball does have nice back end but the crossfire has a stronger overall movement.
