Just shot 300 with TNV

Finally shot 300! took me long enough...(our house is not known for good carry).
Shot it with the Total NV drilled with layout #1 at ~500 grit and a coat of Beans Secret Sauce...by the way...I've only owned this ball since Tuesday, and can say aside the fact I shot 300, its a great ball...worth the hype...

and to "Nails" I say finally after shooting - 299, 289, 287, 284 (don't ask) 279, 278x4 and a 277....I think that qualifies as a "finally"...

Our house is not exactly know as a "big game" house, we don't have a cake shot and our carry is not the best, its perfectly reasonable to put every ball in the pocket and shoot a 240/50 something, it can get frustrating to say the least...

TCP, you're one of the biggest idiots to ever join the site.  As usual, you never fulfil your promise to not come back.  You can never call anyone a troll.  I can guarantee that I've made more helpful comments that you ever will.  You're lucky that the moderators have a short memory or else you could have been banned many times earlier.

I said congratulations and I honestly mean it.  I'm happy for anyone that shoots an honor score.  My comment was because too many people who have been bowling a short time feel they are owed an honor score.  Not saying you are or anything, but it seems like a common theme.  Many people have been bowling 20+ years and never got one.  When they do, it's a finally.  When you've been bowling 18 months, "finally" is a poor choice of terms, no matter how many times you've been close.

That's all?  I'm one of the younger guys here too--I'm 23--and I didn't shoot a 300 until this week, but I've also been bowling every week in leagues since I was only 5 years old, and I have been shooting 279s since I have been old enough to drive.  I've quite literally lost count of how many 279s I've shot (it's at least 25+ in the past 6 or so years, honestly).

The moral of the story?  Enjoy your 300!!  They're a lot harder to do than some people think!

(And by the way, I had the front 5, big split off a slightly slow ball, strikes off the sheet for a 264 just two weeks ago with my Total NV.  It's got a great hit when the lanes are right for it, doesn't it?)

Whoa! slow down guys...I wasn't intending flame-off here...and I didn't interpret the comment by Nails to be offensive, believe me...I've seen what he's talking about.

And to Dan Belcher...Look you've bowling as long as I've been alive...you got a ten year head start on me, I'm sure ten years from now I'll have a few more under my belt, that and the fact I shot all those games within the last year-year and half...

Congrats.... I have been bowling 7 years and haven't hit it yet.... 287 and 18-279 games average over 200 and multiple 700's,.... mine will come,  just a matter of when. Thought last night was it until I buried 3 10 pins in a row, pissed me off......and I am throwing the NVS... great ball as well.
