NVS cover change
« on: May 21, 2008, 06:09:39 AM »
I finally got to try out my new Vertex spinner. My sons NVS was the ginny pig. We are bowling on the Scorpion tonight.

Took his NVS to 500 abralon with a light polish with the Secrete Sauce, we'll see how it works tonight.

For what it's worth, I've used my Total NV at 1000 abralon with no polish on a medium-heavy house shot and several of the PBA patterns.  It's a great reaction for me -- I shot a 300 (in an unsanctioned league) just last week with it.

Scorpion is a 41 foot pattern, actually.  Not very short.

What I was thinking.

Was going to take it up to 1000 but decided not to since OOB is 2000,and I don't have an 800 pad so I thought while I was at 500 we'd give this a try.  41 feet is not that short, and we bowl on synthetics

Well I didn't get to bowl with him but I did manage to see some shots. I'm no expert on ball movement, but it looked very nice. he's 15+mph med revs. Ball was nice and smooth, not very jumpy in the backends, looked like a nice controlled move to the pocket. I think it worked out fine.
