Complement to the Stinger Sanded?

Hi all,
my favorite ball right now is the Stinger Sanded, and I'm looking to expand my arsenal.  What I'm looking for right now are a ball for dry lanes, and one for the flooded lanes.  I really like my reaction with this ball, and am looking for balls to complement it.  Any suggestions?

Well, for drier conditions, the Stinger 2 piece low flare...and, depending on how WET your oily conditions are:

Wow, anyone who knows it's "complement", not "compliment", deserves a reply (not to mention a compliment)!

If you like the Stinger solid for mediums, I'd go with the Stinger pearl for dry.  Just have it drilled somewhat on the weak side, whatever that means for you.

There's too much of a gap between your Stinger and a true heavy oil ball, but if the Stinger works well for you on medium oil, the V2 solid would be the next logical step up the ladder.  If you really need something for a lot more oil than your Stinger can handle, I'd look at the V2 particle, or an Apex Aggression.  The V2 should do the job, and it's less expensive than the Apex line.

I'd have to disagree with your suggestion of drilling the Stinger pearl weak. Extremely weak, would be my suggestion. This is sort of a pet peeve of mine.

That's based on mostly observations (and some experiences) with using the pearl of a solid. In about 80-90% of the situations, the pearl hooked significantly more than the solid. I do not mean just the backend; I mean total boards covered. Most of the time, with the same or similar drillings, I (and others that I have observed) had to stand 2-5 boards deeper, while playing the same breakpoint, when changing to a pearl from its complementary solid.

This makes me feel that the truer complementary pearl to the Stinger solid would be the pearl of the next weaker ball down in the Ebonite line-up, the Tornado (blue or red) polished ball.

Obviously I haven't tested every pair of pearl & solid sold, but enough that this feeling persists.
