Title: Replacement for my Ebonite V2 Sanded
Post by: thomask34 on October 23, 2013, 10:17:02 AM
After many years and several good games I finally have to replace my V2 Sanded.  I took the last two years off from Bowling due to work and I'm getting ready to start in a new league

I need good suggestions for a replacement for Ebonite V2 Sanded

If you want something early and smooth the Ebonite Preserve, Columbia Smack Down, or Storm IQ Tour Solid would be great choices.

Thank you. The Persevere looks like the perfect replacement. I hate having to replace my V2 but it finally cracked

V2 is earlier than The Persevere. Persevere is a bit longer and arc with control. Good Luck with your bowling.

Endure, pinslasher(stronger version of v2, think v2 strong/R)

If you can still find one. The Ebonite Gamebreaker would be the closest to the original V2 Sanded albeit a little stronger due to the different coverstock but same exact core modified Nitro R/2 core also found in the V2.

This may be a stretch.  But the core numbers of the Violent Eruption are very close to the V2.  Could look into possibly getting one of those and sanding down the cover to 1000 or 2000 abralon with no polish.  Just a thought.

Jp: That's what I heard here too, but after getting one, I'd have to say not too similar.
The gamebreaker goes significantly longer, and has a snappy reaction.  Whereas the V2, is a strong arc.
