Just got one drilled with the pin above the fingers, cg stacked. If I take it to 4000 grit abralon and put on some Beans sauce will it work for short and dry patterns?

Did you know the stock finish is 4000 grit plus Factory Finish polish?
I'm not sure is Bean's polish will increase the length more PLUS reduce the backend enough for light, short oil, unless you have much more ball speed than revs.
That cover is fairly strong. I think you might need to apply a "hook reducer", like Track's Delayed Reaction or Neo-Tac's Control-It to "clog up the pores" to make it useful for dry patterns. It's generally considered a medium oil ball.

I have this ball drilled the same way as you do and its an absolute monster on the Cheetah pattern. Works well on broken down house shots. But I have alot of speed to keep the ball in line, I'm not sure how hard or how many revs you put on the ball but it works well for me on the drier conditions in the OOB finish.
