Any one ever sand a black ice down and if so what happened? Better on oil please let me know.

I think it would depend on how low you went with the grit and the drilling on said ball. I've taken a few balls like the black ice (lower end reactives) down to 4000 or 2000 grit to even them out some, but never lower to handle more oil. I suppose it would work, but you are still going to be limited by the core / cover.

The coverstock is Trimax reactive kinda like Big B's PK18, its one of ebonite most versatile covers and is fairly agressive. Out of the box the black ice has a heep of polish on it. You can sand it down and make it hook earlier but because of the low flare core the ball is never going to hook a whole lot. Cover is same or suppose to be the same that on the V2 sanded but core is the old Low Flare Stinger core.
