HEY Jeff Carter,V2 particle or V2 strong?
« on: June 05, 2003, 01:22:32 AM »
I really love the Vortex series, And I recently got a V2 particle. So my big question is what is the difference between the two? The strong and the purple particle?

The V2 Strong is one of the "strongest" balls i've ever thrown. It is very angular and doesnt quit in the backend. The biggest diffence between the V2 Strong and the V2 Particle is that the V2 Strong is still cleaner through the fronts but is much stronger in the back. The V2 Particle is smoother at the breakpoint and less angular.

Jeff,

Does this mean the V2 strong will carry better or no?

Thanks

Power should never be a concern with bowling balls. Control and entry angle are the 2 most important factors. If you have a ball you can control easier you will have more "area" at the breakpoint. If you can match up the entry angle witht the conditions you can strike all day. It shouldnt matter if you are using plastic or a V2, it's whatever knocks down the most pins.

Don B has the right idea of staying within a line of balls that you feel comfortable with. If you have 4 or 5 balls with similar cores, you can go to each one of them in succession and "fine-tune" your ball reaction. If the V2 Pearl squirts a little, go to the V2. If the V2 is a little to strong coming off the pattern go to the V2 Particle to smooth it out. Now with the V2 Strong and V2 Dry you have 2 more options in the same line. As far as how will the V2 Strong carry it all depends on your speed, rev rate, entry angle and lane condition. So to answer your question AllStar23, it all depends on you at that particular time.

Jeff,
Thanks for the answer, i just figured that with beeing more angular it might carry better. So thanks for the answer!
