If you already have the Big Blue Pearl, why would you want to polish the Killer Instinct and make it very close to what you already have?  I'd leave it dull, so it's ready for oil if you see it.

I never said they would be the same.  I was just trying to keep another bowler from buying strong equipment and shining the heck out of it trying to make work on less oil.  Too many bowler's bags have 4-6 hook monsters shined to the hilt.  Unless they are bowling on challenging conditions, there is rarely 5 boards difference between them.  Shining a KI would probably give a little different look than a BBP, but enough to justify carrying both?  Hard to tell.  Then again, you can always easily dull it again, so it would be harmless to experiment.  But if you ever hit oil, you're going to want something with some surface.

well i use the big blue pearl all the time and never use the killer insctint anymore and i don't like the sanded balls very much i bowl so much that it grabs all of this oil and i never have any problem with my big blue pearl play at one house i was wondering how different the killer shined would be to the big blue pearl
