Can anyone recommend a good ball that will carry a long way down the lane and then make a very sharp move to the pocket for a bowler that has very low revs? I'm leaning toward the Storm Fired Up, but am looking for other options as well.

Thats funny i was just about to say fired-up before i read your post. Yes the fired-up is a good recommendation because it skid flips very well. its one of the first balls out of my bag tournament/league/open-play.

Isn't the One a SERIOUS skid/flip ball?

I would tout The One as more of a hard arcing ball than truly flip. Don't get me wron; it corners hard, but it is a strong, smooth turnover. That's my experience, at least. Now, my Awesome Flip, that baby really flips!

I'm just throwing this out there...
What about the Big Blue Pearl?

Or the Raw Hammer Doom. Drill it 4x4 or 3 3/8 coz leverage will not turn over with low revs.

If you do not have a strong enough release and the lane conditions for the reaction, NO ball will be guaranteed to skid/flip.

The "Flip" you guys are referring to is a result of the strength of the release/ball speed as much as it is the core/coverstock combination.
If you have low revs what is your ball speed like? If you are speed dominate a pearl ball (like the fired up) may not grab the lane soon enough for your ball speed and oil volume you are bowling on.
Can you give us more info as to your ball speed, lane surfaces, Oil volume and or lengths?
With more info we can give you a better recommendation.

Probably the biggest skid/flip that I own is my old Silver Streak (roto). My Sling Blade isn't that far behind.

Storm X-Factor Triple Xtreme if you can find this ball, or the Track Xception.
I think you mean the Triple X Factor, not the Triple Xtreme. The latter is a dull solid reactive, the former a polished pearl.

As far as Ebonite/Hammer options, the two best currently are the Raw Hammer Doom and the Big Time Pearl. The Ones are solids and being such will add some midlane and reduce backend somewhat. For heavier conditions it will sufice for what you seemingly want, but for true medium to the lighter side opt for either of these pearls. I would give the edge to the doom over the Big Time Pearl. The fired up is also a good choice, think smoother, slightly less agressive version of the doom.

I agree, it's more of a hard arc. While your Awesome Flip really flips, my Storm X-Factor Vertigo is my flip ball. Man, on a long house pattern in Florida, I threw my Vert down the 5 board and it looked like it would just go straight 4 pin (I'm lefty), but at the last second BAM, strike into the pocket.

overtime is a great ball for that reaction... but is also a solid reactive... a true skid/ flip ball will be more of a pearl... but i agree that overtime does great movement for being a solid in that respect

Just suggestions...but of current available bowling balls....
Raw Hammer Doom
Storm Fired Up
Ebonite Big Time Pearl
Visionary Bronze Centaur
Visionary Immortal Pearl
Any of the above would be good choices.

i bowl with a guy that uses the fired up and the one ,and if its skid flip you want you want the fired up. He has massive hand in the ball and everything he throws hooks a ton. Having seen him throw both ,def the fired up.
