angular one info?
« on: December 09, 2006, 10:44:04 AM »
Just ordered an Angular one. im a stroker/tweener about 250 revs and around 17-18 mph. i usually bowl on heavy oil. i was wondering what you guys may think a good drill would be for me. If you are a current owner of this ball do you have any input on how it rolls and so on and so forth?

Ball rowls great!!!! I just bowled an 8 game tournaments MJMA on a 45 ft sport shot (i think) and bowled great -50 for 8 and only switched to the the one for game 8 when it really started to dry up around 25. If you have the one the a one is that much better the one hooks about 4-5 boards less when hitting oil then the a one. very good ball

This ball does have an awesome roll to it.  It's very aggressive on the back end and has decent length.  You may need to adjust the cover to use it on heavy oil.  If so, then grab yourself some abralon pads and knock the polish off.

Since your a lower rev player I would suggest this layout:

Place the pin about 4 1/2" from your pap.  Place the MB in the #2 strong position.  Usually 1" to 2" right of your thumb.

I do not recommend placing the MB far right of your thumb.  Placing the MB far right of your thumb around your VAL or further gets the ball into an early roll.  This is the type of layout used for heavy oil for some bowlers.  I don't recommend it for this ball.  The Angular one has such a strong back end it's not doing it justice placing the MB that far right.

HammerHawg,

You may want to check out some of my videos and ball layouts.  Check them at www.proshoptraining.com.  A few of your bowler forces are close to mine, but probably slightly weaker.  Give the videos a look at:

Hope it helps!

Anytime bud!  Check out Jeffs vids.  He made some good ones.

I had a chance to use the Angular one in league today.  I didn't bowl that great but am amazed at how much back end this ball has.  It's just sick!

I have exactly the chitown drilling listen too him great advice, ball has great backend reaction at 2000 no polish for me. It glides through the heads and then gives a look very close too my domination on the backend, but can handle more oil volume.

Glad you guys liked the videos.  I should have some shots of the SmashTime Pearl up later this week, along with a newly drilled Big Time Sanded.
