I just got mine a week ago. It hooks alot more than I thought it would. As with most Ebonite balls it hits like a truck.

I was trying to figure out the Smash Time pearl too. I'm torn between a STP and RXS300. I need something under my TNV.

A longer pin to pap on the stp is a great step below the tnv.

Mike,
They are both excellent balls. A couple guys in my league just got the RSX300 and they love it. I have the smashtime pearl and have been pleased with it so far. Really can't go wrong with either one.

EASY!

I think the thing rolls pretty heavy for a pearl but many like!

I can't believe just how strong this ball is. Needs some oil for it to be controllable.

This is one pearl that needs head oil to be effective.  Very early start up and a big move down the lane.  After talking to a few regional staffers they say they can use this ball on just about anything fresh and in the later portion blocks of longer patterns.  I'm waiting for it to hit the discontinued list then I plan on picking up a pair for the summer.

I was looking for a more "controllable pearl" for sport conditions, think this is a viable option?

I personally wouldn't recommend it on a sport type of shot, because the ball off the spot is probably the most skid/snap/flip ball you have ever seen. Off the break, atleast 8-10 boards. The ball is like a baseball being hit and it just takes off.

AWESOME ball for the price.  Don't know why it's not as popular as other balls that perform less

early rolling pearl. I picked one hope hoping to be able to go to it when my sr300 gets too early, but instead I got a very similar reaction through the front and a little harder reaction off the corner. It does get slightly more length, but not enough to do what I was hoping for.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good ball, just a poor choice on my part for what I was wanting it to do.

Mine goes about 40 feet and takes off. The ball is a beast. Unless you switched the grits, add polish. The ball is amazing.
