Interesting, the only experiences I've had with the GB covers were with the original One (drilled two, #1 layout OOB finish, loved it until the reaction "settled" on me and it wasn't as strong off the spot until i took it to 500 grit no polish and it reacted VERY well, and the second one was pin next to ring finger, 1000 grit surface, just didn't roll too well for me) and the Big One (#1 layout, too weak of a pin position for the reaction I was looking for, but liked the way the ball rolled for others)
I suspect this cover, with a little duller surface, and the natural "rollier-ness" of the core, should fit perfectly, especially if i go with a little stronger pin placement and MB location. Right now i've got a pin under Black Widow in this spot, but it's hook stop (pin under ring, MB next to thumb, about a 4.5" x 5" layout roughly, surface at 1000 grit) so I popped a weighthole in the thumb quadrant through the weight block to try to change up the reaction a little bit, get a little better reaction off the spot...if that doesn't work it's goin on the plug rack and i'm gonna drill the RXS...
I do have an Over Time on the way that I may need your help in laying out, i'm not sure what i'm gonna do with the ball yet, it'll depend on how the Black Widow experiment/RXS drill works out for me
Jeff, thanks again for your help and your attention to detail, I think you may have single-handedly turned some people on to Ebonite on this board, due to your detailed reviews, information, and videos supporting the Ebonite brand! I know coming from me it is MUCH appreciated!
