Striking Motion
« on: October 22, 2008, 12:43:27 AM »
First of all I would like to thank Ebonite for hosting a demo days on the day of the info release on this ball.  They were all very nice and were happy to help you and just sit and talk about whatever you had questions with.

I got to throw this beast yesterday and I can honestly say it is a winner.  The isn't solid blue.  It has light blue and grey in it like what a pearl would look like.

On to the bowling.  Since they were all pre drilled, I had to make due with one that was as close to what my thumb could handle(my thumb is a bit sore today..)  The ball is VERY perdictable and very smooth.  I have the Dimension and this ball rolls exactly like it.  Only difference was the Striking Motion covered about 2 more boards than the Dimension.

I'm a lefty.  The pin was 4 3/8" and was located just to the left and above my ring finger.

On a side note.  Ebonite also allowed us to use the ball during our league and the top score and top pins over average, won a free ball.  I was fortunate to get the high score with a 256.  I will be receiving the ball via mail on the week of the 11th in November.

Steve

is this ball already usbc approved?? If it is not, how are people able to use it in league play??? Is Ebonite promoting cheating in usbc sanctioned events?? and if it is approved, what is the point of a world wide release date?? They are RUINING the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It did have the USBC stamp of approval on the ball.  The reason we were allowed to use them during league is because the demo was during the time of the league.  Since there weren't lanes available for just the ball, we could try them out during league.

The ball is usbc approved. It gives bowlers the chance to try the ball out before the release date with no cost to the bowlwer. It also creates alot of hype before it comes out.I think its a great idea.I see nothing wrong with this concept.Ebonite being creative to making a great product more marketable.
