Free bowling balls being given away
« on: July 08, 2006, 05:04:36 AM »
Don't know if everyone knows this yet but on the Track website they are giving away a free Track ball of your choice (one a day). It's called The Ball-A-Day Giveaway.

All you have to do is visit their website and you are automatically entered in the daily drawing. You can pick any Track ball you want.

And why can't Ebonite do a ball giveaway like Track is doing?

Da SEAHAWKS are gonna win it all Next Year, if the NFL will allow it!

Why would they give it away when they are probably the #1 Seller of balls right now? We have a hard time selling a Track ball in our area.Ebonite, Storm and Brunswick top sellers. Not saying they aren't good balls, the ones we have sold are very good for the players that have purchased them. Just not very big in our area. Track is trying to get a large pool of email addresses probably for email marketing plus if your buddy wins one and kills them with it woudln't you think of buying one too?

just marketing. plain and simple.

Bill might be talking about HIS pro shop business in regards to the area's sales; overall, Track and Brunswick are the top sellers in the Albany NY area, with Ebonite slightly behind.  I have seen a lot of Track balls among the league bowlers in the area, with Brunswick being extremely popular among the regular tournament players.  I have not seen much Storm, aside from a couple Fired Ups and a few Paradigms.  Ebonite is very popular with the original One, not only in the Albany area but also in the Eastern Region of the PBA and in NEBA.  Aside from the original One, I haven't seen much Ebonite at all.

Sorry to jump on you a little Billy; hope all is well at your shop!

Jeff I was speaking of our shop in general. But in the 3 bowling centers I bowl in plus where our shop is Storm and Ebonite out number Track 5 to 1.
Track seems to sell well in houses where there is ALOT of oil and synthetic lanes.

Jeff and Bill.

Hope all is well with both of you. I look forward to seeing you guys again in the fall.
I can tell you that at Clifton Park, I am the only person in the "big money" leagues that uses anything from track. Overall out house is filled with storm and ebonite stuff. Part of that is the fact that Our proshop is not pushed at all as BNE could't care less about it. Storm has been really big here because of what Bill did a couple years ago bowling with me.
BTW Billy hows business? Hope all is well.

Nice to hear from you, Mike.  Not sure how many Huck Finn's I'll make it to this year though, my bowling center was under 7' of water 10 days ago...lots of work to be done there!
