Med Oil Ebonite Choice/Whirlwind?
« on: August 27, 2006, 03:05:13 PM »
I really enjoy using my Tornado on the lighter conditions used at the local houses I bowl on. However, I will be needing to add a true medium oil bowl that won't overlap or be to similar to my Tornado. I see that Ebonite has the Whirlwind rated for Med oil but I am worried that it may not be able to handle this condition much better than my current ball. I am only considering Ebonite or Hammer balls and would appreciate any input from members.(I guess I am asking if their are any opinions on whether the Whirl WInd is a big enough step up from the tornado to justify adding it). Thanks

Thanks to everyone for their help on the Whirlwind. The posts were very helpful. I plan on purchasing the Whirlwind, and if for some reason the out of box condition (polished) isin't a big enough upgrade over the Tornado then I will take the advice to knock the polish off. Thanks guys, also appreciated coments on the other balls and the V2 Sweet. Although I didn't post any specs in my bowling profile, I feel still comfortable knowing the WhirlWind is believed to be a strong enough ball.
