flip and hook again
« on: May 21, 2004, 08:45:06 AM »

my flip bowled 200+ games and died. after having the "hook again", it flipppppppppp again just like a new one.....but it only last for 1 and a half game and dying again.

any ebonite rep here can explain why it can only last less then 2 games after having the hook again? what should i do to recover it?

good luck

Don't take this the wrong way, but after the game and a half, are you sure that the oil didn't just carry down the lane and make the hooking reaction go away?

My reason for asking is because I could use my Savage Flip for just 1 game and when carrydown occured, the backend reaction was completely GONE!

Are you sure that Carrydown didn't affect the ball?

hi ric,
i agree that carry down do affect the reaction ^_^
so i tried it on a fresh oil condition again, the ball did snap and turn but just couldn't grap the lane on dry. everyone bowling with me, and the proshop guy, all agreed that it was not working like that one and a half game after hook again.
i just wonder why my flip can't last longer  *_*

Maybe the hook again formed a brain inside your ball's core, and has developed a personality, that of which doesn't like you.

Oh wait, you want a logical response.  Well, I suggest taking a cheaper route, and doing the kitty litter method (ask around here), or the soaking method.

mmm...okay, will get it drunk next time before put it into hook again
agreed that soaking method is much cheaper...but...hook again really works

well....is a resurface needed? before or after the hook again?

quote:
I had the same problem with the hook-again system, only because I didn't leave my ball in the system long enough! If your ball has 70 to 100 games, then 1 day of Hook Again treatment is the cource of action. A ball of 200 or more games needs a minimum of 3 days of Hook Again system for the complete removal of oil and plastisizer from the surface of the ball, once the ball is fully re-energized, spray the citrus energizer in the system. Then your ball should be ready for the next 100 or so games! P.s. If you have ever placed your ball in a heated enviroment (Rejuvinator-automatic dishwasher-heat lamp), the molecular structure of your ball has already been altered and it is to late for the Hook Again system to bring back the 97% reactivity that Ebonite claims!
