Total NV or Total Inferno?

I'm in a little predicament, i can't decide between a total inferno or a total NV. either way i'm going to buy both but which one do i buy next week, my tax return just came so i'm going to use that money to buy one or the other. i start a pba league next tuesday which i know i won't have it ready by then but maybe the week after which do u think is a better ball for a sport shot? also posted in the brunswick forum

I have not used either one!

BUT in my eyes....The Total Inferno seems to desire more head oil and a stronger backend shot.

The NV on the other hand seems to be more tweakable for handling slightly dryer fronts and creating more backend on its own.

Both great balls...just for slightly different conditions in the medium oily side of the equation!

I really like my Total NV.  Good length with a strong, smooth break to the pocket.  

I haven't used a Total Inferno, but in general, Brunswick's react too early for me.

My friend has both and I have been able to throw both of them. I agree with Lefty when he says that the Inferno needs more head oil, but I would say that the NV has a much stronger back end on it. The Inferno has a much more predictable roll, but the NV is going to be able to handle the lanes better when they start to dry out.

well the league i'll be on there'll be plenty of head oil, i'm bowling a 12 week pba league over the summer, i was just wondering which ball to buy first, our oil guy hasn't decided which pattern to put out first, last year it was the cheetah pattern which i have a good ball i'll use for it but once i get to the harder patterns there'll be plenty of head oil for the total inferno REMINDER: i am going to buy both either way just which one first

if you plan on getting both get the inferno first.  it is more of a "benchmark" ball.  i have seen the TNV and if you are not WRW accurate with it it can be a little jumpy.

I had alot of success on the PBA patterns this season with the Total NV. It is just right to clear the heads and still make the turn on most of the patterns. Very good ball to start with and make your equipment changes from there.

The Total Inferno bothers me for a couple of reasons. It really seems to be love/hate ball. People either really like it, or they cannot stand it. The bigget issue I have with it is how inconsistant the coverstock is from the factory. OOB I have seen them shined up to a super gloss, I have seen them as dull as the Ultimate Inferno and I have seen them with tremendous grit lines and polish built inside of them.
