The SR300 is a very nice ball. My suggestion for layout based on what you have mentioned about your game would be:
Place the pin at 3 3/4 from PAP, about 3 inches above your midline. If you want an arc type reaction this will get it started so there is not too much energy spend down the lane. It will happen as a nice continuous roll throughout with a predictable yet strong reaction at the breakpoint.
The MB rating of the SR300 is relatively weak, though I would still use it as a consideration when laying out the ball. As you move the MB closer to the thumb this is going to make the reaction down lane be much more abrupt or more of a snap type reaction.....even if the pin were in the ring finger. I would place the MB at 4 1/2inces from your PAP trying to keep it in location between #2 position and #3 position(closer to #3 if possible). This will keep it strong but predictable at the break.
