Title: sr300 vs the one
Post by: 1fife on October 17, 2006, 12:50:57 PM
looking for a ball that is slightly loner than my one and maybe a few boards less hook

looking at them
same covers

higher rg and less diff on sr300

so im thining longer, BUT

does it still have a good backend

my one is rolling out slightly when the end of 2 and 3rd game comes

looking at entending the pin to pap on the sr to 5.5 inches

one is 4 3/4

will this ball fit the bill-havent seen one in action, or know of anyone that has one or that has done a comparison

What I can tell you about the SR 300: it goes LONG. The high RG really delays action, and the ball is ideal for direct attacks on the pocket on medium oil.
I do not have a The One as reference, but a Shock & Awe which has similar core specs and reaction properties. My S&A covers, with a similar drilling (pin slightly higher and further way from PAP) more boards and breaks about 5' earlier than my SR300 on the same conditions. Both can be used on the same conditions, but the SR 300 is an excellent choice when the track starts burning up in the heads. It delivers its energy late but effectively, it should be a great complement to the lower RG The One. With some polish, I guess you can use the SR 300 even on lighter conditiosn and late games.

Go for it! You might also check my review on the ball in the Ebonite section (Video included).

Check out my ball reviews of both of these balls on either this website or mine below.  You'll see pics of the ball layouts on my website.  I think you'll find the answers you're looking for.
