Title: That darn Matrix core!

I was thinking about this last night and I was just wondering why that series of balls that used the Matrix core(or a variation of it) like the Tomahawk Hi Torque, Matrix Trimax 1 & 3, Matrix Dynasty, Optyx F1, Tomahawk X-Plosion, Matrix TPS and TPS III, worked so well for me.  It couldn't be the covers since Ebonite has recycled them over in other balls I wasn't too fond of but it was something about that core that gave a ball motion that Ebonite is missing right now.  If I could find any of those NIB in 15lbs I think I'd bowl with them forever, it was just that much of a special reaction in my hands.  

Can anyone else vouch for these series of balls?  Loved or hated them?
