The Clash and Bash look very promising
« on: June 06, 2007, 02:18:15 AM »
These look like two lower-mid priced balls that will turn some heads this summer.  On shelf appeal alone, but the specs look even better:

Bash
Coverstock: Big Bang XL Reactive
Factory Finish: 1000 Abralon, Polished w/ Factory Finish
Color: Purple/Yellow/Silver Pearl
Core: Ice core w/ a density tweak
RG: 16#- 2.53, 15#- 2.57, 14#- 2.64
Diff: 16#- .038, 15#- .031, 14#- .025
Flare Potential: Medium
Length: (1-50) 22
Hook Potential: (1-50) 32
Breakpoint Angle: (1-12) 9.25
Hook Style: Length w/ STRONG backend reaction for Light to Medium Oil patterns

Clash
Coverstock: Modified Phased Bomber Reactive
Factory Finish: 4000 Abralon
Color: Royal/Yellow
Core: Symmetric light bulb w/ flip block
RG: 16#- 2.49, 15#- 2.47, 14#- 2.51
Differential: 16#- .043, 15#- .045, 14#- .050
Flare potential: Medium
Length: (1-50) 21
Backend: (1-50) 37
Breakpoint angle: (1-12) 9.95
Hook Style: Strong backend on medium lane patterns

The Bash looks to have a Pearlized Shooter XL cover and a more dense core of the Ice for a little added flare.  The color combo looks AMAZING on this one.  Very pretty ball.  The Clash looks like it's going to outhook alot of the $200+ balls by a ton.  The cover is from the XXXCel with a Whirlwind block and a 4000 abralon finish.  Colors look a little brighter than the Primetime Sanded.  A Richer shade of blue and a lighter shade of yellow.  These look like two must haves for the people looking for performance at a bargain price.

what is the difference between the xl coverstock and the bomber
coverstock? it makes me think that the clash is going to be a
slightly stronger version of the whirlwind or the crossfire.

I don't know what they mean by "modified" but the clash has the phased bomber reactive cover.  That is the same cover on the overtime that I had, and that ball was STRONG for me.

The bash sounds more up my alley ( pardon the pun ). I had an Ice and really liked that ball.  Something with a bit more length and punch sounds just about right for me.

P.S. These colors sound really groovy. ( Did I just really use the word groovy? )

I have a Bash on order, I need a replacement for my Ice, I will post a review when I get it.
