It's back from the dead!
« on: May 13, 2004, 09:01:15 AM »
I pull out the old Nitro R/2 Solid today for a few games, drilled 3 3/8 x 3 3/8ths according to my specs when I was 16, now it's more like 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 since I've lowered my track.  Oh my is the reaction out of this thing sweet.  I threw it up against my V2 Solid drilled 4x4 with 2500 polish and the Nitro R2 is a gem beside this.  While my V2 solid is more for the drier side of medium due to the extreme shine on it, the Nitro r/2 is like the older brother that used to fight your fights for you in elementary school....and bully the masses!  The Nitro is a bit earlier, due to it being in out of box condition and is so smooth out of the dry(the v2 solid is much sharper off of dry edges).  It's almost like I have a V2 clean with a different label on it(being the Nitro R/2 that is).  IT covers less boards overall but it much smoother and could be very condusive on PBA patterns E and C, and most shorter sport conditions I see.

Why I've held onto this for so long goes beyond me.  I'm glad to have it back from retirement and it fills a much needed gap in my arsenal.  Now what can I do with my new Savage Solid that I'm getting?  Gee I'm perplexed, 3 x 0 400 grit sand for heavy oil? ....mwahahaha
