"THE ONE" question
« on: January 15, 2006, 09:24:14 AM »
I love my new the one shot 806 couple weeks ago. following it up with a 767 and a 756. I just had my proshop repolish the ball for me. my question is. Is there some special polish for this ball? Because now all of a sudden i can get my ball to finsih into the pocket. I throw about 19mph and i have plenty of rotations. Any suggestions what i should do to get it back to factory finish. Do you think my pro shop polished it wrong. Any suggestions will help thanks

chris.

I think right out of the box it comes sanded 4000 grit and has Ebonite Powerhouse factory finish polish on it. Your Pro Shop probably put a polish on it that is finer and made it go longer.

I have had alot of people tell me this about there One. It seems to be that if u mess around with the coverstock trying to polish it back up u lose some of the balls natual forgiveness that the ball has from the OTB coverstock. In our proshop we have shined some up for a cuple people after it dulled a little and they had a similar problem. I believe the "kit" you get from ebonite will work decently but I would NOT suggest you to polish it or dull it ever. Try to have then sand it 1000 aberlon pad side-to-side then a mixture of renew-it/hook-it/ and liquid sandpaper then sand it 4000, then put a litle hook it on useing the ball spiner, should give u a little more backend, but dont expect the same as OTB.

sometimes ball polish isnt as "tacky" as factory finish.

I did mine with 1000 abralon and then hit it with some Ebonite Powerhouse factory finish polish and I lost no reaction at all..

The One OOB is sanded to 4000 with Abralon pads then polished the Ebonite Extender Polish..
