SR300 ?
« on: September 05, 2006, 01:50:38 PM »
I would like to hear from some more people that have used the SR300.I need something to fit between my One and Big One. How does this ball compare to the both of them. I have seen that it is supposed to be longer and stonger than The One, but i have been told it's earlier and stronger. Would it be to close to either ball to be able to use it?

I love my SR300.  To me its the ultimate THS ball.  It gets down the lane with ease and has great backend movement.  I left the surface OOB.  I have it drilled with the pin above the bridge, cg in the middle of my span, and the mb just right of the thumb.

Compared to my Big One the SR300 is 3 feet longer and more angular but not jerky off the dry.

I have detailed reviews of all of the balls you are asking about on this website and on my own website listed below.  Check those out and see if they have what you're looking for.

Mine is sitting at home to be drilled... I am very anxious to play it, isnce I hope it to become my go-to medium condistion ball for the upcoming season. I think I will have it drilled pin at 4 1/2" from PAP (ending up just above my ring finger), and the low MB probably stacked at 90° from PAP or at 75° for a little more arc. With its higher RG and medium RG diff, I think it will get down very well even on late games and have a snappy back end, but not a giant hook. A review will take some weeks, but you can count on my input on this board.

The SR300 and The One are very similar balls for me.

The One is drilled pin under ring.  The SR300 pin over ring.

The SR300 is a few feet longer than The One and makes a harder turn to the pocket.

The SR300 is more versatile than The One.  It works well on a fresh or broken down shot.  Whereas The One starts leaving corner pins as the shot breaks down.

Also, the SR300 seems more controllable.  If you pull the shot, the SR300 will hold lone and go brooklyn, The One snaps at the 7 pin.

On a fresh shot, I take out the The One.  For everything else...its the SR300.  As mentioned it is the ultimate house shot ball.  I dropped down from 4 ball arsenal to just these two balls (not including plastic for spares)
