I can't compare it, but it's a particle pearl ball for medium conditions with good midlane and backend reaction. It's an excellent ball.

Yeah, I saw that afterwrads. It has PET sparkles in it and that threw me off. It's still a good ball

Good control, i could never get a whole lot of "pop" at the pins with mine. Drilled it pin under bridge, so it might have been that.

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like an excellent "first-ball-out-of-the-bag" type of ball, which is what I was hoping for. We've got some weirdness going on with our local center's standard fall league shot that makes ultra-angular balls too jumpy and strong at the breakpoint, sanded balls too strong up front. Something that power arcs is what I'd really like to get, and at the price I found this Player (it's used), I'd be a fool not to take a chance on it.

The TPC Player is a nice ball, and the wacky core reacts very well to hand changes. I found mine (drilled label leverage, sanded to 800 grit) to be a very nice control piece on medium-oily shots.

On fresh lanes, this one was (sold it recently) great to play down-and-in across 2nd arrow, or deeper when the pattern was short or the oil slowly dissipated. With the coarse finish, it was very smooth but needed head oil to work properly - but no wonder. Good ball, the Trimax coverstock reacts well to surface changes, and also a great complement to the TPC Shooter which I liked very much, too.

From today's standards, I think it would fit in the Time series or "scratch" the performance of the new Premier balls. I guess the No Limit is quite similar, maybe a touch stronger.
