Ebonite Black Ice?
« on: October 19, 2009, 10:30:04 AM »
hey guys i just got a free black ice from a friend and decided to drill it.  I was just wondering what is this ball mainly used for and what is the reaction like.  I have a jigsaw, virtual gravity and bite.  So i am hoping to drill this ball below the bite.  Thanks

light to medium-light oil with its stock surface. Mild cover and milder, even rolling core.

I have this ball, and have had it for a while.  It has a very consistent reaction and it is rather smooth.  Surprisingly enough, when it hits the pocket right, it smashes the pocket, and it has surprisingly good hitting power.  It's relatively weak, but it is an awesome ball.  It also doesn't have a problem with getting oily and loosing reaction quickly.

I have had this ball in my bag for the past 3-4 years.
Its simply a fantastic bowling ball.
I prefer it on broken down lanes, but not toasted lanes.
It is great for playing tighter angles due to the steady motion
It provides slightly above average length, soft backend and goes through the pins fairly well on patterns under 40'.  I prefer the ball without polish, it carries the 10 better that way and is more versatile that way, at least for me.
