The One: the Experiment Continues!
« on: April 11, 2007, 05:15:19 PM »
HEY GUYS!

I made a post a few weeks back about purchasing myself The One from Ebonite. I am within 2 games of reaching the 25 game mark. So far the ball is still reacting excellent as I have been cleaning the ball every 6 games as stated in the first post! I will be putting a video together once I reach 10/25/50/75/100 Game marks with the ball. I've already got some shots of the ball at the 10 game mark and because the 25 game mark is approaching I'll be taking some more shots as well. In conclusion for now, the result is awesome as the ball has neither 'died' nor lost any reaction thus far! More as it develops! God Bless You All and have a great week!

EDITOR'S NOTE:
Finally reached the 25 game mark after a few games of practicing with the ball. Posted below are links where I have taken pictures of the ball at the 10 and 25 game mark as well! Will more than likely post a new thread once I reach the 50 game mark when that point in time comes! God Bless You All!

just out of curiosity, what kind of conditions are you bowling on? also, wood, synthetic? i know it wouldn't have anything to do with the ball either dying or not, but i'm just curious how your 25 games would compare to mine on old wood. also, if you think of it, it'd be cool to have a still picture from a few angles to denote the physical condition of the ball after the 10/25/50/75/100 game marks, know what i'm trying to say? how long till it got significant track wear? gouges? you get the idea.

Matt

b.t.w.-EXCELLENT idea. someone need to prove the rumors false. i've always believed, take good care of your stuff, and your stuff will take good care of you.

Michael,

Looking forward to the video. How about a comparison to a Track ball (Equation, Machine)? How you liking The One so far?  By the way, what cleaner are you using the ball and how is it being applied?  By hand or spinner?

HEY MATT!

I'm bowling on AMF synthetics mostly buddy! I will be bowling this weekend in the state tournament out of town in two Brunswick houses. As far as the picture goes, I will definitely make sure of taking still pics for you guys as well, that is an excellent idea! Thanks!

HEY TERRY!

If I do a regular video, then I'll throw in a comparison for ya! I'm really liking the way the ball is reacting thus far. It is doing what everyone said it would and that is length and very decent backend. I'm using the Powerwash to clean the ball every 6 games, some by hand and some by the spinner, whichever resource is available!

God Bless You All and have a great week!

Great experiment.

I would like those that said this cover dies after 50 games to read the experiment results.

HEY TERRY!

Still around 36 games buddy! Haven't been practicing that much due to working hours in the pro shop and the fact that leagues have finished for the winter season. I will be bowling one league in the summer and will get some games on the ball then. Recently I punched up Brunswick's Total Inferno as I was looking for a fit below The One because I see The One is very angular for me and I needed something to push further down the lane before checking up and so far from when I have thrown it, the Total Inferno is fitting the bill! Will let you guys know once I have reached 50 games with The One though! God Bless You All and have a great week!
