When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment
When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one
This guy on youtube posts videos of the PBA
for ppl who dont watch TV or want to save the matches this will be great!

One question about you comparing it to the One. Are you comparing it on the same condition as yesterday. I think alot of people are forgetting that this was a 45ft strip oil condition that you will never see anywhere but there. This was not a PBA pattern or House shot.

I just wonder why Ebonite would showcase a ball that is not available when a Angular One with correct drill and cover prep probably would have done as well.
I would think if the idea is move product they would help the pro shops sell equipment they can actually get for their customers.
The only righty to make the telecast was using an out of production ball for his sponsor.
I know it's name identity but I don't see NASCAR sponsors showcasing their drivers in 2002 or 2008 versions of Fords or Chevys.

I'm doing the Total NV clinic tomorrow in Milwaukee and am looking forward to it. In talking with one of the ball techs at Ebonite who has drilled a couple up for himself the Total NV is a few boards more hook that the Angular One. As for the Infinite One, a couple guys I've talked to said the Total NV seems to be an Infinite one on Steroids plus its 4000 polished and wasn't the Infinite One about 1000 Abralon? So it seems the Total NV is more ball on both counts. More Oil... more ball, but as close as an Angular might be adjusting layout and cover may have got them close to the same look. I knew Couch would be throwing the NV. Suprised though to see PA throwing the Total instead of the NV myself though. But with pin under, even polished he had a good read with it. The NV is just supposed to devour oil though, although it's GBV coverstock is different the the Total NV. I'm interested in seeing at the clinic how much more ball it actually is than the Total with a pin under drill.

Couch didn't thrown the NV. He threw the Total NV sanded to a 1000.

JC I don't think anybody thought he was using the NV. The both had the same ball Couch had he dulled and pin above fingers while PA had his looked like oob finish with pin low.

The infinite one is 500 grit oob and the total nv is 4000 grit. Thats a huge difference.. I hated the Infinite one but love the total nv I drilled up last night.. Its all about match up and I do better with shiny stuff, over dull..

I think the great slump of 2006-2007 is finally coming to an end!!

Plus, their performances add to the buzz that is out there already for the Total NV. Our center is all about this ball (and not typically an Ebonite house). A lot of folks are waiting for this ball to come in.

Ten Pin - I wasn't sure if he meant NV or Total. Just wanted to add some clarity. I've been using my Total for about a week now and I'm not really impressed with the ball yet. I prefer the AO over the Total. The AO starts up sooner for me while the Total hooks later. The Total will cover more boards but I tend to leave corner pins with it. I'll probably have to adjust the cover stock. Just not sure where it will fall in my arsenal.

Buzz don't feed the dependents.
Wouldn't your center prefer the buzz be about a ball they could actually sell today?
Or in Walter's case at all?
By the time the Total is available the buzz will be about the five other new balls about to come out from the other guys.
Especially if it's not an Ebonite center.
See my point or no?

I do understand where you're coming from. Our pro shop has already sold out its initial order of TNVs from the seminar, however, and is still getting requests for additional balls. The balls should be here in a few weeks. The folks that are getting the balls aren't necessarily in need of new equipment immediately - but are making their purchases on the expectations for the Total NV. Basically, they are willing to wait.
I like how Ebonite is going about this launch. They consider this new development (micro-texturing) to be significant and are utilizing the seminars/website to educate proshops and bowlers about the benefits ahead of time. Interest is gaining momentum. Reminds me a little of how Microsoft had the whole "Start me up" commercials for the Windows 95 launch.

If the target market are the folks who don't need new equipment right now then they're right on the money. But if they're goal is to help the pro shop sell equipment to folks who want it now they better hope the competition is doing the same thing.
Either way it's a far better plan than the MoRich staff pro using discontinued equipment. That says to me I want to win and can't do it with the current ball selection.
To get back on subject I tried both the Angular One and the Total NV and found both to be good balls. However I kept the Angular and decided the Total would be better off in someone elses bag.I would have been happy with either but as I had the choice I felt the Angular was better for me.

Delivery on the Total has been advanced to this week to dealers. Per the clinic in Milwaukee yesterday they got them produced quicker than expected so the shops should start seeing them early next week.
