TJ.
« on: March 20, 2005, 11:25:37 AM »
Nothing about Tommy Jones on here? The man is on fire. Is he a jerk or something? Seems OK to me from what I saw on TV. He is a beast on the lanes. And he plugged Ebonite pretty good on TV today.
Just wondering.

P.S. Ignore the signature.... IF YOU CAN!!!! j/k.

I don't know why there isn't more said about him. He just bowled FANTASTIC! There was no way he was going to lose. One of the things that was very obvious is that he was throwing the SAME ball he won with last time. If I'm not mistaking it was DIFFERENT CONDITIONS! how can you ask for better then that! If I had a vote he'd get mine for PLAYER OF THE YEAR!

I love to watch him crank the He11 out of the ball, but more importantly...he does it consistently. He seems to be unstoppable right now and I definitely vote him for POY. I hope he takes it instead of Patrick Allen.

That's more like it!!!
I totally agree w/ you guys.
When he's on, he is THE man.
He gets my vote for POY at this point too, but it ain't over yet.
If he wins a major though... FOR SHIZZLE.

I hope he's the PBA Player of the Year.

Yeah, I really enjoy watching Tommy crank that ball, and it really looks good going down the lane.  I'm not real familiar with Ebonite balls, so can someone tell me which ball Tommy was using?  For sure he would get my vote for POY over Patrick Allen.

He was using the same ball he's been using the past month or so. The BIG TIME. Tommy is red hot right now, he should be considered the front runner for POY.

I think the only way TJ won't get player of the year is if he comes in dead last the next two events, or if someone who has already won this year wins one event and makes TV for the other (or wins both)

Agreed. TJ's rolling a sick ball right now. Unless someone sweeps the two majors left, it should be his rightfully. PA's two wins and two major finals appearences doesn't pass four wins total.

I knew TJ before he was a teenager. Until
november of 2004 we had not seen each other since
then, after all those years he still remembered
everything about me. he grew up as a great kid
and is a gentleman. if i remember correctly he averaged
around 180 at 10 years old and his style did not change
very much. i'm glad to see he has much support from the
br gang.

POY, he definitely deserves it. Did Parker get POY when he won 4 titles in a single year?

That has to be one of if not Tommy's favorite core.  I remember when he was in Dallas eather his rookie year or the year after and lead the second round of qualifying by a good amount using nothing but the Apex Adrenaline.  The only thing that kept him off the show I think was in match play he missed a few spares.  He has to be one of the most fun to watch because he just goes out and turns the ball but does it so well and controled, and gets the job done.  I predict him to win one of the majors.  No doubt player of the year allready, but I think he is gonna win again to prove it.

Tommy is the ONE guy on tour all the tour guys are saying is "Un-Beatable" when he is playing his A-Game.  Pretty much what you've seen Tommy Jones to on TV is his comfort zone and all the guys are saying it's impossible to beat him when he has that look inside.  He is very fun to watch.

TJ is throwing the sh-- out of the ball right now. It is not only this year but last year to. He finished i believe 7th in points and kept getting beat in the round of 8 last year. I believe the win in Japan gave him the confidence that he could win, not just compete and we are seeing the aftermath. I really want to see him win POY as it is nice to see the Rookies (relative term)stepping out. Heres a funny one though. Ebonites staff has dwindled and it has made shows infrequently yet possibly the two best chances for POY are throwing  Ebonite or Hammernite and last years POY was also an Ebo-staffer.
