TNV
« on: September 12, 2007, 09:37:15 AM »
Hey guys I bought my TNV about july/august. Love the ball. I had it drilled stacked leverage with pin above the ring finger. Has anyone had it drilled this way and had it sanded?  Drilling doesn't have to be the same but a similar layout.  Current arsenal Action Attack stack leverage, then the TNV, Action Pack with pin above the fingers, then future ball BWP drilled dead weight with pin above middle finger cg below and mass bias right of thumb(Will be getting this ball next week).

I have sanded my Total NV to 1500 (with the suggested layout #1 for length and backend).  I love the reaction this gives me in my Tuesday night league where there's a little higher volume of oil in the middle and very dry outsides (talk about a Great Wall of China type of walled-up shot).  It gets rolling earlier and smooths out the reaction on the wet/dry shots for me, and for the way I like to roll a ball it gives me a better entry angle into the pocket.  I shot a 264 just the other night with that ball actually (All strikes except I missed just a touch left the 6th frame and hit the drying line from the all the down-and-in guys on my pair, left an UGLY 4-6-9-10 split).

You don't see very many people use their Total NV with any kind of sanded surface, but in general the handful of people I do know who did it love the reaction they get.

My arsenal consist of two TNVs right now, one I keep shinned up for a little dryer conditions, but the other I have dulled up on the 1500 pad and that is the ball I use on about every thing I face up on. It is stacked up but with the pin close to the track, so it gets down the lane, but being dulled up I don't get the jerk reaction out of it, more of a nice even arc.

Thanks guys for the reply. In my league its more of a house shot but sometimes we counter oil in the lane. So i don't have the right ball for it.  Since i got the TNV the way i had it drilled i'm thinking to have dulled out a bit. With out of the box i bowled great on it during my summer sweepers shooting  640+ with a 260 ya i know i goofed only scored in the 190's on the 2 games.  But instead of changing the cover stock i have the action attack stacked leverage i can dulled that out. What do you guys think? Instead of tweeking the TNV
